Transcendent Investment Management Director Jordan Kavana has managed
property portfolios and various real estate transactions for over a
decade, both in the U.S. and abroad. Throughout his career in real
estate, Mr. Kavana has acquired, structured and invested more than $480
million in the sector.
Mr. Kavana earned a B.A. in Hospitality Management and Finance from
Florida International University, and has since worked on graduate-level
studies in real estate finance at Harvard University. He will receive an
honorary degree from Harvard Business School for advanced studies in
strategy and leadership in real estate within the year.
Mr. Kavana first experience in the industry was with the finance and
operations department of one of South America’s largest vacation
property developers. He later returned to the United States to work as
an analyst of real estate investments for Morgan Stanley’s wealth
management division.
Kavana also managed family real estate investments and development
projects, as well as founded a consumer electronics company in Asia. He
developed an award-winning product line, and increased sales to $40
million while broadening a customer base to include retailers like Best
Buy and Wal-Mart.
After shifting focus back to the U.S., Kavana served as Managing Partner
of JL Real Ventures, a private equity firm with a portfolio of
multi-family properties in the Southeast United States. He currently
serves on the Florida State Pension Plan Board, as well.
